CUUR Sponsors Fight Forever Foundation in 1st Annual Golf Outing
CUUR President, Gwen Kent, announced Monday, July 16, 2007 that CUUR
will be an official corporate sponsor of the 1st Annual Golf Outing to
benefit Fight Forever Foundation. The Golf Outing will take place
August 13, 2007 at 1:00pm at Arboretum Golf Course, 401 Half Day Rd.,
Buffalo Grove, IL.
Danny Ferrone, a 23-year-old with Cystic Fibrosis, created the Fight
Forever Foundation (http://www.fightforever.org) to act as a direct
conduit to scientists and research groups who understand CF and truly
want to find a cure for it. Dannys mission with his foundation is to
"FIND A CURE OR DIE TRYING." He currently has 50 percent lung capacity
and has run two marathons and done one triathalon in the last year.
CUUR shares this same support of research with their commitment to the
Karolinska Institute and thought Cystic Fibrosis research would be a
good opportunity to give back. Danny is an inspiration and CUUR wants
to help him in his mission to find a cure.
